Joan of Arts School of Dance, founded in 2021 in the coastal town of Kommetjie, has quickly become a hub for dance enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. What began as a small, passionate initiative has blossomed into a vibrant, thriving community, recognized for its dedication to excellence and the joy of dance.

At Joan of Arts, we are committed to nurturing talent and fostering a deep love for the art of dance. Our mission is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where dancers can explore their creativity, build their skills, and achieve their fullest potential.
We believe in the power of dance to transform lives, instilling discipline, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

A rhythmic dance form that combines percussive footwork with musicality.
BALLET

ACHIEVEMENTS
Since our inception, Joan of Arts has celebrated numerous milestones. Our dancers have participated in local and international competitions, earning accolades and representing Western Province with pride in the Dance Sport Club League (DSCL).
These achievements highlight our dedication to excellence and the hard work of our talented dancers.
Joan of Arts is led by a team of experienced professionals, including our esteemed director, who proudly represents South Africa on the international stage.
Alongside them, two of our exceptional dancers also serve as SA representatives, showcasing their talent and commitment on a global platform.
OUR LEADERSHIP
OUR EXPANSION
In 2024, we took a significant step forward by expanding our reach to other schools in the community. Our first external program at St Anne’s Primary School introduced ballet classes for students from Grades 0 to 7, marking the beginning of our journey as a "moving school."
This initiative allows us to bring quality dance education to more young dancers, broadening our impact and fostering a love for dance across Kommetjie and beyond.
